Our lesson program is focused on good horsemanship. Riders learn to work together with their horse to improve as a team. Confidence building exercises are incorporated into lessons to develop riders that are strong on and off the horse. Riding builds skills for life, independence, confidence, and responsibility. Many of our riders are just beginning in the sport of horseback riding and we specialize in developing a solid foundation for riders to build upon as they find their passion.
The school horses we use are invaluable teachers and a vital part to our program! We have lovely gaited school horses to learn on. Our lesson program works with riders to meet their goals, whether it be riding in the mountains, or just enjoying the companionship of horses. We can help you develop tools to deal with confidence and strength issues. Lessons develop riders' skills at applying aids, understanding horse nature, and communicating effectively with the horse. Ground work and lunge line lessons compliment the riding portion of the lesson as needed. Lessons are structured to provide learning experiences for riders on and off their horses. We have excellent school horses to help our riders begin their horsemanship journey. All lessons are about an hour long and offer students opportunities for learning the entire lesson. We teach riders as young as 4 years old. All students start in private lessons until they have the skills to tack up independently and ride independently. |
